Why do we exist?
We need to keep talking about Spiritual Abuse in a safe and supportive way to find solutions together.
Whether we are Survivors/Victims, Supporters, Practitioners, Academics or a variation of these, we all have wisdom we can bring to the table. When we share this wisdom and use this to develop solutions, we develop the best collective wisdom, and best collective solutions.
We need to involve all faiths to understand what is common in our experiences and what may be different.
We need to include everyone by recognising and addressing the things that make it more difficult for people to be involved.
What we plan to do:
Purposefully include everyone by:
- Creating a safe inclusive space
- Recognising and addressing barriers to involvement
- Being aware of and minimising power imbalances
Bring people together to share wisdom and solutions by:
- Hosting 7 webinars and virtual round table discussions (funded by the Sir Halley Stewart Trust),
- Creating an online forum
- Collect wisdom by email/phone/text from anyone that can’t or doesn’t want to access the webinars and online forum.
Influence and drive change by:
- developing guidance around our collective wisdom and collective solutions
- using our collective voice and our networks to communicate our collective wisdom and solutions
Regularly reviewing:
- how we are doing
- how well we involve everyone
- what difference we make
- any guidance we develop to ensure it works well and is up to date with our collective wisdom.
